Registration
Enrolling and Scheduling for classes:- Entrance Requirements:
- Students enrolling must be between 16-21 years of age.
- All required paperwork, permissions, IEP's, Immunizations and transcripts must be delivered to SCHS prior to registration.
- Students who complete at SCHS will receive the SCHS diploma unless their former high school and SCHS mutually agree that they can receive their diploma from their former school.
- Graduation Guidelines: South Central High School requires 22 credits to graduate.
- Grading Scale:
A: 94-100
B: 86-93
C: 78-85
D: 70-77
- Grade Point Average (GPA) Calculation: If a student repeats a class, both grades will stay on the transcript and will be calculated in the cumulative GPA. Graduating seniors will receive their GPA's for all classes taken in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.

Curriculum Guide for South Central High School
Courses required for graduation from Bismarck Public Schools:- Language Arts: four credits of Language Arts is required.
- Mathematics: two credits of Mathematics will be required for all students.
- Education: two credits are required. One credit may be earned in Health and one credit may be earned in Family Living.
- Social Studies: three credits in Social Studies are required. Required courses include: Global Studies, United States History (first and second semesters), and Senior Social Studies which includes Government and Economics.
- Elective Credits: in addition to the above required credits, student smust earn eight elective credits. At South Central High School, we encourage Career Planning to assist the students in choosing electives.
- Minimum Graduation Requirements: No student can graduate from South Central High School with less than 22 credits.
- For Baccalaureate Classes in the North Dakota University System:
- 4 units of Mathematics, Algebra I and above
- 3 units of Laboratory Science including at least 2 credits in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, or Applied Biology/Chemistry
- 3 units of Social Studies, excluding Consumer Education, Cooperative Marketing, Orientation to Social Science, and Marriage/Family.
