Call Harlow's Bus Service 224-1767 or BPS Transportation Department 323-4502 if a student will not be riding their bus. The call may be placed anytime after 6:30 A.M.

Transportation Information

Rural Busing
Bismarck Public Schools provides transportation for all students living outside the city limits and within the school district boundary.

In City Busing
Transportation is provided for elementary students living within the city limits and living more than one half mile from the following elementary schools; Centennial, Miller, Murphy, Myhre, Northridge, and Solheim. Students must live inside the attendance boundary for the school to be eligible for busing.

Transportation is provided to in city students that live more than one mile from Horizon, Simle, and Wachter middle schools. Students must live inside the attendance boundary for the school to be eligible for busing.

Special Needs
Transportation is provided for special needs students as assigned by the special needs department.

Head Start
Transportation is provided for eligible Head Start Students.

Field Trips
Busing for field trips is scheduled according to availability.

Extracurricular
Transportation is provided for out-of-town extracurricular activities.

We encourage parents and students to use Infofinderi to determine which schools a particular address is assigned to. When you type in the address, put the house number first, then the street name, then the direction. Do not use punctuation.

Good Example: 1009 1st St N
Poor Example: 1009 N. 1st St.

This form is to register your child/children for busing for the next school year. If more than one of your children received a form you only need to submit one form for your family. If you have more than one child riding the bus please indicate all of your children on the form that will be riding the bus.

The information contained herein serves as a general overview for all parents and students to acquaint themselves with school policies concerning transportation of students.

The Bismarck School District believes that riding the school van/bus is a privilege. Therefore, every bus rider shall abide by the rules, as set by policy, or be deprived of the privilege of riding on the school buses.
